Bursaries

Registration bursaries

The Association has a significant number of registration bursaries for postgraduate doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars without paid posts under 35 years (on 24th August 2016). The bursaries cover the full registration costs of students whose papers have been accepted for sessions, but all other costs (e.g. travel, accommodation, dinner) must be paid by the applicant. For a limited number of Travel Bursaries, see below under Travel Bursaries.

Procedure for applications:

Download the file below and complete the application form. Send the form – together with a copy of the letter of acceptance from the session organiser and a letter of support from your supervisor – to Mats Berglund. Applications should be in English or French and sent by post or by email (scanned) to the address below. Please ensure you give your current email address.

Please apply early. The first closing date for applications is 29th February 2016. The main allocation of bursaries will be made in March 2016. Funding permitting, there will be a second allocation of a smaller number of grants. For this round the closing date is 29th April 2016. Please ensure all your papers are submitted to arrive by the first or second deadline, otherwise your application will be excluded.
